Annita's Viewpoint is situated on the border separating Dherynia from Famagusta. One of the closest houses to the Turkish occupied area. Here you can see Famagusta the Ghost Town of Cyprus, with its neglected hotels, residential homes and its destroyed lemon trees and farmland. You can also see in the distance the beautiful bay of Famagusta and the mountain range of Pentathaktilos. Since 1974, this town has stayed silent and dead waiting the return of it's legal citizens!

Nicosia to the Troodos Mountains.
Stuck in their hothouse city on the plain between the island’s two mountain ranges, Nicosians like nothing better than escaping to the cool, scented air of the Troodos range, which lies within easy reach of the capital.
If you’re in a hurry, the best way to the mountains is west on the main road through Peristerona and Kakopetria. With more time you can take the rougher and more scenic route through the eastern foothills. Find out more at www.emantravel.com
Cape Kiti and Amathus
The long stretch of coastline from Larnaca to Limassol is relatively untouched by tourist development, except in the immediate neighbourhood of the two towns themselves.
Driving from one to the other on the coast road, or inland near the motorway, you’ll come across several sites of interest that can be visited independently or on an organised tour. For more details see www.emantravel.com
Kolossi Castle
About six miles west of Limassol, Kolossi Castle was the Commandery of the Knights Templar, and later of the Knights Hospitaller, after the Crusaders were driven out of the Holy Land in 1291 - but the existing structure dates from 1454.
A romantic look-out, with stout walls and turreted battlements, Kolossi withstood sieges by Genoese and Mameluke invaders. In addition to the central keep, there are the remains of a basilica, a sugar-cane factory and an aqueduct.
Fleur-de-lys symbols are carved on walls and fireplaces, and the entrance hall of the keep has a mural of the crucifixion. For more details see www.emantravel.com

Kykkos Monastery
On this tour Kykkos Monastery is the main attraction, where in February 1997 the Icon of the Virgin Mary wept for a whole month. Thousands of Cypriots flocked to see this miracle and they will continue to talk about it for years to come. Kykkos was founded by the Byzantines in 1092 and is now the richest Monastery in Cyprus. Aphrodite, Adonis and Hercules.
Founded by the Phoenicians around 1000BC, Amathus backed the Persians in the Greek wars, some 500 years later, but changed sides when Alexander the Great came knocking. Such pragmatism perhaps explains why so much survives - as much as England’s King Richard the Lionheart saw when he landed at Amathus to attack Cyprus in 1191, on his way to the Crusades.
There are the remains of the Acropolis (hilltop fortress) and the Agora (marketplace), as well as temples to Aphrodite, Adonis and Hercules.
From the later era there’s a Roman bath-house, an early Christian basilica and marble columns carved with a complex spiral pattern. The main archaeological site overlooks the sea two miles east of Limassol. For more details see www.emantravel.com
